Groups

Get connected with people who will know your story and invest in your future. You weren’t meant to journey alone. Build the deep relationships you were created for. Groups exist to make life-changing relationships relevant and accessible so you can face life with the kind of love and support God desires for you.

Here are some group options this season:

Discipleship Bootcamp

How do we effectively make disciples at Community Church? We want to equip the entire church with a step-by-step game plan designed to mobilize our Community Groups to multiply followers of Jesus. Over 10 weeks you’ll learn how to assess spiritual maturity, understand what it means to be an intentional leader, and learn how Jesus used relationships purposefully. We’re so excited about what God is going to do in this season that we’re making this the primary group we’re offering!

Bootcamp will be held at all three campuses starting the first week in February 2024. Here are some details:

Mount Pleasant | Wed. nights starting Feb. 7th | 6 – 8pm.
Alma | Wed. nights starting Feb. 7th | 6 – 7:30pm.
St Johns | Tues. nights starting Feb. 6th | 6 – 8pm.

Food and childcare will be available at each campus for a suggested donation. Workbooks for the course are $15 and scholarships are available if cost is prohibitive. Sign up or visit Connect in the lobby of your campus on Sunday to learn more.

We have had an overwhelming response to boot camp at all three campuses!
Registration is now closed for this season.

Community Groups

Community Groups are one of the best ways to grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ. It is also the place at Community Church where we are able to encourage each other and hold each other accountable. God doesn’t want any of us to be left to walk through life alone – we need each other to encourage, support and challenge one another.

Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery is a Bible-based, Christ-centered recovery program for those who struggle with life’s hurts, habits and hang-ups. Its curriculum takes participants through The 8 Recovery Principles, which are based on the Beatitudes. The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to fellowship together and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives by sharing our experience, strength, and hope through The 12 Steps and The 8 Recovery Principles. This experience allows us to “be changed”. You may be thinking that recovery is only for those with alcohol or drug problems. This could not be further from the truth. Most of life’s hurts, habits and hang-ups can be addressed through this one ministry, including problems with abuse, anger, grief, alcohol, drugs, depression, guilt and shame, financial loss, divorce, dysfunctional families, sexual problems, eating disorders, and much more!

We are a Mens Bible study that meets weekly all year long. We are working through the New Testament book by book and at times verse by verse. We are very informal and leave room if you can only be there periodically. It’s a drop-in format, questions for the week are handed out and at the end of the time we pass out the following week’s questions. We meet from 6:30 AM until 7:30AM so those that work can be on time. We believe all men should be in a Bible study. Come and share the time and study with us.
