Get connected with people who will know your story and invest in your future.
You weren’t meant to journey alone; build the deep relationships you were created for. Community Groups exist to make life-changing relationships accessible and relevant so you can face life with the kind of love and support God desires for you.
How do we effectively make disciples at Community Church? By having people plugged in and growing in groups. We want to equip the entire church in groups to multiply followers of Jesus.
Community Groups are one of the best ways to grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ at Community Church. It is also the place where we are able to encourage each other and hold each other accountable. God doesn’t want any of us to be left to walk through life alone – we need each other to encourage, support and challenge one another.
Groups meet throughout Central Michigan and are led by wonderful men and women who attend each of our three campuses. We even have specific Community Groups for our college and young adults, through our UNiTE ministry.
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions which explore the basics of the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-judgmental environment. Each session typically includes food, a short video exploring faith-related questions like the purpose of life or the nature of Jesus, and small group discussions where participants can ask questions and share their perspectives. Alpha is designed for anyone curious about Christianity, including non-believers and those rethinking their faith, and will run at all three campuses of Community Church on Wednesday nights starting October 8th.

GriefShare is a support group in a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this community group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.
The purpose of our Widows community group is to fellowship together and celebrate God’s faithfulness in our lives by sharing our experience, strength, and hope. We focus on assisting widows in their time of need and to secure them into a life focused on Jesus Christ, by loving each widow unconditionally.
This group is open to widows from all three campuses, as well as those outside of Community Church. This group meets together for luncheons, retreats and other events throughout the year.

We are a Mens Bible study that meets weekly all year long. We are working through the New Testament book by book and at times verse by verse. We are very informal and leave room if you can only be there periodically. It’s a drop-in format, questions for the week are handed out and at the end of the time we pass out the following week’s questions. We meet from 6:30 AM until 7:30AM so those that work can be on time. We believe all men should be in a Bible study.
Come and share the time and study with us.

A Community Group is a group of people who get together regularly to pursue spiritual growth. No church membership is required and groups are open to anyone with a desire to find out more about God and His plan for your life.
Many of our community groups are focused around a shared mission. There are some groups just for women, some just for men, some for couples and singles and made up of people of all ages. All of our groups are engaged with the church teaching series, discussing Sunday’s sermon message together using discussion questions to dig deeper.
There are several times a year when we encourage people to sign up and form new groups , but there are groups that are open to new members all year long! Simply click on “Sign up a Group” button at the top of the page and a member of our team will be happy to provide you more information about Community Groups. If you happen to know someone in a group already, that can be a great way to get connected to a group as well! You can also visit Connect in the lobby of your campus on Sunday morning for more information.
We are always on the look out for amazing Community Group Leaders. If you enjoy connecting with people and providing a warm environment where others can learn to love and follow Jesus, this is the role for you. We’ll provide all the training and resources you need.
