Leadership

Leadership At Community Church

Community Church is a staff led church with a team of Elders for oversight. We’re a multisite church that operates as one church in multiple locations.

While we don’t have formal ‘membership’, we ask anyone who calls Community Church their home to walk through what we’ve called a ‘Next Steps Gathering’. These events are offered throughout the year in all of our campuses and have an emphasis on helping people become active & engaged in the life of the church. It will promote 6 concrete next steps for any person in the church. Those steps are:

  1. Gather Consistently – Gathering weekly at your campus
  2. Baptism – Professing your faith publicly through baptism
  3. Join a Group – Doing life together with a community group
  4. Give Generously – Lives change when we give!
  5. Join a Team – Find a place to Serve
  6. Inviting – Your invitation matters!

These steps represent a practice and picture of someone belonging, engaged and active in the life of the church. This is a dynamic and ongoing partnership with the church body. If the someone is participating in any of the above, we’d consider them to be part of Community Church.

Elders

The Elders of Community Church have charge, authority and responsibility for the leadership of the ministry. They have delegated that responsibility to staff, of whom, the Lead Pastor takes on the senior role for the day to day running of the ministry. The Lead Pastor operates under the authority of the Elder board.
