Community Students (CS) exists to lead students into a focused life with Jesus Christ.

At Community Students, our goal is to care for middle and high school students by providing a fun, safe, and engaging community where they can build lasting relationships, grow in their faith, and discover who God says they are and the purpose He has for them.

CS Summer (June – August)

At Community Students, summer isn’t a break from ministry; it’s a season packed with connection, adventure, and meaningful moments with Jesus in community. In the summer, we don’t meet on Sunday nights and become event-focused!

We design CS summer to keep students engaged through exciting events and opportunities to grow in their faith. Whether it’s late-night laughs, outdoor games, or powerful worship moments, there’s something for everyone.

CS Weekly Meetings (September – May)

CS is the perfect place for all 6th-12th graders to connect, grow, and have fun! We meet on Sundays from 6:00-8:00 PM at every campus. Our kickoff is the Sunday after Labor Day, and the CS Finale is the first Sunday of May every year.

Each Sunday night is packed with:

  • Inspiring Worship and Teaching: Dive into meaningful messages and worship that challenge and encourage.
  • Small Group Time: Engage in real conversations and build deeper connections with peers and leaders.
  • Games & Hangouts: Unwind, laugh, and create memories with friends.

To make the experience even more impactful, Middle School (6th-8th) and High School (9th-12th) have separate spaces and times during the evening to be with their own peers, giving each group the opportunity for tailored discussions, activities, and community-building in their own unique space.

Summer | While we take a break from regular meetings during the summer, the fun doesn’t stop! Our summer events are designed to keep the CS community thriving and connected.

We Love Parents

Here at Community Students, we fully believe that parents are the greatest influence on the spiritual development of their teens. As a result, it is our desire to partner with parents and provide them resources and opportunities for their students to encounter God in new and exciting ways.

As a parent, if you ever have a question about the ministry, an event, or series, please do not hesitate to contact Roman Rozell, Student Ministry Director, at roman.rozell@communitymi.org.

Student Leadership Team

Students are not just the church of tomorrow. They are a part of the church today. That’s why we have a student leadership team, called SALT. This team is comprised of students who have a strong desire to shape the ministry of CS to be more effective, engaging, and beneficial to themselves and their peers. If your student would like to join SALT, you can apply for Mount Pleasant or Alma SALT at your respective campus using the buttons below (there is no Saint Johns SALT at this time). With any questions, contact Roman Rozell, Student Ministry Director, at roman.rozell@communitymi.org.

Community Students Leadership

At Community Students our desire is for students to find a welcoming community, knowledge of a God who loves them, and a practical foundation on how to live a Christian life. This cannot happen without a dedicated team of adults who are interested in building relationships with students and pointing them towards Christ.

We are always on the look out for incredible leaders at all of our campuses looking to join our fun team with an incredible purpose. Joining the CS leadership team is a great opportunity to use your gifts and talents to care for students and give them a very real picture of God’s heart for their lives.
